My cordless clipper battery died halfway through a skin fade

It happened on a client last Friday, right as I was blending the sides. The clipper just stopped, no warning. I had to plug in my old corded Wahl Senior to finish the cut, which felt super awkward. Has anyone found a good way to check battery health before a cut to avoid this?

Ugh, that's the worst feeling, right? What clippers were you using?

Oh man, my buddy learned that lesson the hard way, and honestly @jake986 is totally right about having a corded backup.

I get why you'd want to check the battery, but focusing on that misses the real problem. That "worst feeling" you mentioned comes from relying on a tool that can fail at the worst time. I see it differently. A corded clipper is a basic, reliable piece of gear that just works. Having a good corded backup ready to go isn't awkward, it's just smart planning. It solves the issue for good instead of trying to guess a battery's mood.
