My shears were pulling hair and I couldn't figure out why for months

I was doing a standard taper on a regular client in my chair in Akron, and he kept flinching every time I used my left hand. I finally stopped and really looked at my technique. I was holding my main shears at a slight angle instead of keeping them perfectly vertical against the comb. A barber from Toledo I follow on Instagram posted a quick video about hand position, and it clicked. Has anyone else had a specific hand posture issue that was messing up your cuts?
