Rant: My fade looked great in the mirror but trash in photos for months

Tbh I kept fixing fades and they looked clean when I checked the mirror. But every time a client sent me a selfie later, the blend looked patchy and dark. Last week I finally tried using a second mirror angled at 45 degrees to check the back and sides. That changed it completely, the issue was I was only seeing one angle. Has anyone else had this mirror trick fix their fade work, or do you use another method to check your blends?
