Saw a customer walk into my barber chair with a photo of a haircut from 1995

I was working my Saturday shift at Lou's shop in Austin when this guy pulls out this faded, crumpled photo of some dude with a frosted tip bowl cut and says 'make me look like this again' like it was totally normal, has anyone else had a customer ask for a haircut that was clearly a bad idea even back then?

I get what you're saying about regretting it by morning, but I actually see it differently. That guy probably has some great memories tied to that 1995 haircut, maybe from his favorite concert or the summer he met his wife. If it makes him happy and brings back good times, who are we to judge what's a "bad idea"?

Make me look like this again" is a bold request for a 1995 bowl cut with frosted tips. Pretty sure even back then people knew that was a questionable look, not a classic one. Unless he's time traveling from a boy band reunion, that's a fast way to get a haircut you'll regret by the next morning.

Huh, you know what, I was with the original take until I read your reply. I used to think that cut was just a punchline too, but you made me remember my old high school dance photos and yeah, those memories are worth more than the haircut itself.
