Heard that while waiting for my own chair and it made me realize I was rushing through the talk part. How much time do you all spend on the consult before you even pick up the clippers?

Read an article once that said the first five minutes decide the whole cut. That barber is totally right.

People forget the consultation is also for trust building. A client who feels heard will sit stiller and come back. That's part of the 90 percent right there.
