Spent 3 weeks tracking down a clipper rattle, and it was a loose screw in the hinge
My Wahl senior started buzzing weird about a month ago, so I tore the whole thing down, cleaned the blade, swapped the cutter, and even ordered a new drive shaft. Three weeks and about $40 in parts later, my buddy picks it up, shakes it, and says it sounds like a hinge screw. Two turns with the little screwdriver and the rattle was gone. The worst part is I had told at least five customers I was waiting on a part from the factory. What is the dumbest fix you have missed on your own tools?
