That 6-month fade transformation on my regular blew me away

I've got this client, Mike, who's been coming to me since January. First time he sat in my chair, his hair was a mess - uneven all over, and someone had tried to fade his neckline with what looked like a lawnmower. I gave him a standard 2 on the sides, just to clean him up and start fresh. Fast forward six months of consistent 3-week appointments, and last Saturday I finally got to do a skin fade on him. The before and after photos I took are wild - his hair texture changed, the growth patterns got way more even, and the fade blended like butter. I think having regular trims let his hair grow out healthier and train the cowlicks or whatever. Has anyone else noticed a huge difference in how a client's hair responds after a few months of regular visits?

Honestly, I've seen the same thing with a few of my regulars, it's crazy how much better they look.

In my experience, that "better look" can sometimes be more about practice and comfort than actual hair quality. I had one regular where the early cuts were rough just because I was still figuring out his head shape and growth patterns. Now that I know his hair better, the cuts are cleaner, but I honestly don't think the hair itself changed that much.

Did you notice a big difference in how the clipper work felt under your fingers compared to that first haircut? I'm curious if the texture change was mostly visual or if you could feel it in the cut too. I've had a couple guys where the hair almost felt different to the touch after a few months.
