Tried a foil shaver on bald fades for 2 weeks and I'm not going back to the trimmer
I used to finish every skin fade with my trimmer and then go over it with a razor. Last month my clippers died mid cut and my backup trimmer was dull, so I grabbed a foil shaver I had sitting in the drawer for a while. The fade came out smoother in half the time, and my client actually said it felt better on his neck. I timed it: 3 minutes with the foil versus 8 minutes with the trimmer and razor combo. The foil also doesn't irritate the skin as much on guys who get razor bumps. I've done about 40 fades with it now and the blade still cuts like day one. Anyone else made the switch or do you still swear by the razor finish?
