Walk-in customer asked for a 'shape up' and got upset when I cut 15 minutes off his next appointment

Had a guy come in Thursday around 4pm, he pointed at his head and said 'just a shape up, quick trim.' I did my usual check with him and then took maybe 20 minutes total, but after I finished he told me I took off too much length on the sides, even though we agreed on the guard size. I ended up not charging him the full $25 and he left saying he'd find someone else. Has anyone else had a client blame you for something they approved in the chair, and what do you do about it?

Wait, he actually said you took too much off the sides but you two literally picked the guard together in the mirror? That’s like ordering a burger and being mad it has lettuce on it after you watched them put it on.
