Why does nobody warn you that clipper blades can hit 140 degrees?
I read a post from a barber supply shop in Tampa that said blade temps can reach 140 degrees after back to back fades, and I laughed it off until I burned a client's neck on Saturday. I was three kids deep on a busy morning and never once checked the blade or sprayed coolant. The shop owner said most guys don't feel it because their hands are callused, but the client sure feels it. Now I keep a jar of cooling spray clipped to my station and touch the blade between every cut. Any of you ever scorch a client, and what do you use to keep your blades cool during a rush?
