Just realized my 11pm phone habit went from awful to fine after one tiny switch
Everyone says you have to put the phone down an hour before bed and I don't buy it. Six months ago I kept getting sucked into scrolling videos at 11pm and would lie there wired until almost 1am, so instead of quitting I set the screen to warm mode at 9pm and turned off all alerts except calls from my wife. My sleep tracker shows I fall asleep around 25 minutes faster now, and nothing else in my night routine changed. Has anyone else had luck just changing how their phone behaves at night instead of putting it away completely?
So you cut your sleep time by 25 minutes and that's supposed to mean the phone habit was never a real problem? Isn't it possible the warm screen just helped you relax a bit while the late scrolling is still messing with you in ways the tracker can't see?
