Showerthought: a crack in the ceiling at my sister's place in Boise got me hooked on star apps
I was lying on her guest bed last week staring up at a hairline crack in the drywall that looked weirdly like a river, so I pulled out my phone and found a free constellation app that maps the sky when you point the camera up. Spent 20 minutes on my back matching the crack to Orion, and it turns out pointing the phone at a plain ceiling still works fine for picking out planets. Does anyone else have a dumb phone game like this that actually winds them down instead of waking them up?
