This week was just one thing after another and I'm exhausted
Monday I had three clients cancel on me for landscaping work, then Tuesday my truck got a flat tire on the way to a job over in Oakville. By Wednesday I was so tired I dropped my phone on my face while scrolling in bed around 11pm. I ended up just staring at the ceiling for 20 minutes before I could even think about sleeping. Anybody else have a week where the universe just seems to be against you?

Dropping your phone on your face is a standard Tuesday night for most people, it hardly qualifies as a major life hurdle. Flat tires and canceled jobs are annoying but they're just part of working in a trade, not the universe sending some kind of cosmic message. Maybe it's just me but staring at a ceiling for 20 minutes sounds more like you were just tired from a long day rather than some deep existential crisis. Like, it's been a rough week but calling it "the universe being against you" feels a little dramatic when nobody's in the hospital and nothing's actually broken beyond repair. There are people out there dealing with real disasters, losing their houses or their health. I'd say count your blessings and just get some extra sleep this weekend.

My uncle used to call stuff like that "the universe trying to get your attention" and honestly, sometimes it is. I had a week once where I locked my keys in the car, tripped over my own feet going up the stairs, and dropped a whole pizza face down on the sidewalk. I just sat down on the curb and laughed until I cried.

Read this thing online once about bad luck streaks. They called it "error cascading" or something. Basically one small mistake makes you rattled, then you make more. Your pizza story fits perfectly. Probably why you laughed. Sometimes you just gotta accept the dominoes are falling.
