PSA: Stop tightening cotter pins with the nut, I wasted 3 years doing it wrong
An old timer at the shop in Dayton watched me crank on the nut and laughed, then flipped the frame over and showed me the pin goes in from the other side so the nut pulls it tight. I had a customers Schwinn sitting there with a mushroomed pin and he just said you are fighting it the whole way, do it my way. How many of you grew up learning it the hard way too?
