Switched from a chain scrubber to a cheap paintbrush and my drivetrain has never run quieter
I picked up one of those $30 chain cleaning tools at my shop in Denver and used it for about 8 cleanings before getting sick of how much solvent it wasted and how it never got the inner plates clean. Last week I grabbed a $2 hog bristle paintbrush from the hardware store, dipped it in degreaser, and just scrubbed the chain on the bike, and the gunk that came off was honestly gross in a way the tool never got. Anyone else ditch the fancy chain cleaners for a brush, or am I just late to the party on this one?

Did you also find the brush gets into all those tight spots the plastic scrubber just slides over?
