Wasted $80 on a Park Tool chain checker that didn't even fit my 12-speed
Bought the CC-3.2 thinking it'd work for my new SRAM drivetrain, but it doesn't read the roller wear right on flat-top chains. Anyone else find this out the hard way or got a tool that actually works?

Hold up though, that CC-3.2 was never made for flat-top chains in the first place. Park Tool even says on their site it's for standard roller chains up to 11-speed. You kind of bought the wrong tool for the job. A regular Shimano or KMC 12-speed chain would work fine with it, but SRAM flat-top chains need different measuring because the roller shape is different. SRAM's own T-Handle chain checker is the safe bet there, or you can just use a ruler to measure 12 links and save yourself $80 next time.
