Went with a chain tool over a quick link on my tour bike, still not sure I picked right
Packing for a 3 day loop out of Missoula next month and had to decide between carrying a proper chain breaker with a spare pin or just two quick links and a short bit of chain. I went with the breaker since I run a 9 speed and figured a trailside pin job would hold better than fussing with a link in the rain. Now I keep second guessing it because the tool plus pin is heavier and I've never once had to break a chain on the road. Curious what you all keep in your saddlebag for longer rides, breaker or links?
