Binged a crime series and now I'm unsure about right and wrong

I marathon-watched this show about a team that steals from rich crooks to give to regular folks. Halfway in, I started cheering for them even when their plans hurt innocent people. My brain kept saying they were the heroes, but my gut felt sick about some choices. Has a binge ever left you mixed up like that?

My buddy marathoned a show about thieves who think they're heroes. He said he caught himself rooting for them even when they screwed over decent people. Took a real conversation with his sister to snap him out of that fog.

Guess that "fog" is just the glow of the screen after too many episodes.

Man, that happens to me too. I get sucked into shows where the main crew is breaking the law but you like them anyway. They show them having fun together or helping each other, and you start to ignore the people they hurt. Like in robbery shows where they steal from a rich guy who seems mean, so you cheer for them. But then they trick a normal person and it feels off. What did his sister say to make him see things clearly again?
