Dark really is as good as everyone says, I was wrong to skip it
I kept putting it off because the subtitles thing sounded annoying, but after 3 episodes I was hooked. The way they jump through time and still make every character matter is insane. Anyone else take way too long to start this one?

Same here, I put it off for like two years because I hate reading subtitles while watching TV. But man, once I gave it a real shot, I couldn't stop. The way every single character ties into the bigger puzzle is something I've never seen done this well. Even side characters you barely notice end up having huge roles later on. It's crazy how patient the writers were with the timeline, like they planned everything down to the smallest detail. Did it take you a few episodes to really get into it too?

I dunno, I've seen people say the planning is insane but honestly a lot of it felt like coincidence or fan theories stretching things. Like that one shopkeeper who shows up again, people act like it's some genius move, but in real life you see the same people around too, right? I think it's good but not the masterpiece everyone claims.

yeah but i gotta agree with @jennifer_jenkins on this one, like is it really THAT deep? i watched it too and yeah it was cool how that one random kid from episode 2 ends up being the main villain's nephew or whatever but that's just good tv writing, not some genius level stuff. the shopkeeper thing she mentioned is a perfect example - people read way too much into it. i feel like if you blink you miss a "clue" and then suddenly it's the most brilliant thing ever, but half the time it's just them reusing actors or set pieces. it's a solid show but fans talk about it like it's the second coming of cinema.
