I finally found a show my whole family will watch, and it only took 4 tries and one bad Sunday
Two Sundays ago I tried putting on a popular drama at 8pm and my dad fell asleep, my mom grabbed her phone, and my brother just left the room. Then I put on a 30 minute comedy about a small town hockey team and nobody moved for 3 straight episodes, which has never happened in our house. What show actually got your whole family to sit still, and did it surprise you?

Watched my sister sit through an entire documentary about penguins last winter, which shocked everyone since she never stops moving. Turns out the trick is just finding the one show where nobody has to pretend to care.
