Just realized the best way to find a new show is to watch the first 3 episodes, no matter what.

I was stuck in a loop of watching 15 minute pilots and giving up, but forcing myself through three full installments of 'Shining Girls' last week completely changed my mind. Anyone else have a specific episode count that usually decides it for you?

Honestly, I usually know by the end of the second episode.

Used to give a show five episodes, but @michael_coleman10 is right. The second episode tells you everything. Watched one recently where the pilot was okay, but episode two was a boring mess with no good plot. Saved me hours.
