Rant: Wasted 8 hours on a show that went nowhere

I just binged 8 hours of 'The Lost Flowers' on Netflix thinking it'd have a big payoff, but the ending was so vague and disappointing I felt cheated. The main character just walks off into the woods and that's it, no resolution at all. It's like they ran out of budget or something. Has anyone else sat through a whole season only to get a flat ending like that?

Agree with the whole budget thing honestly, I think they just ran out of time and slapped together that ending. It felt like the writers had some big mystery planned but then just gave up and let the main character wander off into the trees. Reminds me of that show 'The Whispers' where the whole season built up to a creepy alien thing and then it just ended with a kid saying a random word.

Maybe the whole point was that life doesn't give tidy endings either.

Watched 'The Vanishing' on Hulu and felt the same letdown, @val_williams, such a waste of time.
