That 14 hour Gilmore Girls marathon turned into a family affair
Last Saturday my wife dared me to watch one episode with her, but I ended up sucked in for 14 straight hours and we finished season 2 before midnight. My three kids joined in around hour 4 and started arguing over which town diner order they'd get, which was hilarious. By episode 31 we were all yelling at the screen about Lorelai's choices, has anyone else's binge night completely take over the whole house like this?

Admit it, that's the dream right there. Binge watching is usually a solo thing in my house, but the one time we all got hooked on a show together, it turned into this whole ritual where everyone had to have their snack and their spot on the couch. I love that your kids got into arguing about diner orders, that's way better than fighting over the remote. Honestly, getting sucked in for 14 hours with the whole family sounds like a perfect Saturday, even if you didn't plan it. Hope you guys made it through the whole season without anyone falling asleep on the couch.

Did we make it through the whole season? Man, we made it through like four episodes before my youngest passed out with a bag of chips still in her hand, so the dream got a little blurry there. @robinf51, I love that your family turned it into a snack ritual, that's way more organized than our chaos where somebody's always stealing the good blanket. The diner order argument thing cracked me up, because our kids were yelling about who got the last piece of pepperoni like it was a courtroom drama. Honestly, the 14 hour marathon is great until someone farts during a quiet scene and you all lose it for ten minutes. But yeah, falling asleep on the couch is pretty much mandatory at some point, that's how you know it was a real family binge.
