The 2x speed rewatch trick finally made sense to me

I read a stat that says 67% of viewers rewatch episodes at 1.5x or 2x speed to catch background jokes, and I tested it on season 3 of The Good Place last night. Anyone else do this or do you think it kills the pacing?

Tbh that stat sounds made up, but rewatching at 2x just makes everyone sound like they're chugging espresso underwater. If you blink, you miss the whole plot, not just the joke.
