My anvil took a chunk out of my thumb on Tuesday

Hot steel slipped off the tongs and bounced right into my hand, damn 80lb anvil did more damage than the stock itself... anyone else ever toss a lightweight pair of tongs and regret it? I'm ordering a heavier set after that one.

Yank that thumb back and show us the scar, man, cause I wanna see what an 80lb chunk of steel does to a finger. Did you at least get it pinned or just wrap it up with tape and get back to work like a stubborn fool? I dropped a 4lb cross peen on my boot once and thought my toes were gone, so I can't imagine that weight coming down on flesh.
