My old coal forge in the garage was a smoke monster until I switched to propane last year.

The neighbor finally complained after a decade, so I spent $800 on a Venturi burner setup from Majestic Forge. Anyone else make the switch and have tips for keeping the heat even on bigger pieces?

So your neighbor waited TEN YEARS to say something? That's some serious patience, or maybe they just finally cleaned their windows. For bigger pieces, I found playing with the air intake on that Majestic burner makes a huge difference, way more than just cranking the gas.

Wow, I used to just turn up the heat and hope for the best. But messing with the air intake like you said totally changed how my big pieces turn out. It's a complete game changer.

People let stuff slide for years until it's convenient to mention it. My uncle complained about a fence line after a decade, right when he wanted to sell his house. It's like they store up minor annoyances and cash them in when it's useful. Your neighbor probably only said something now because they're selling or finally had a reason to care.
