Broke a $50 dice tray at a convention in Columbus last month
I set it down on a folding table and the corner just snapped off. Anyone else had cheap acrylic stuff fail at the worst time?

Man, that sucks. Those acrylic trays look great but they're just brittle plastic in the end. Bet the temperature in that convention hall was cold enough to make it even more fragile.

Had a buddy that learned this the hard way @jennifer204. He left some acrylic stands in his car overnight during a winter trip and they were cracked all over by morning. It wasn't even that cold, maybe like 20 degrees but that was enough. The plastic gets super brittle when it's cold, so if you drop one or bump it wrong it just snaps. He was so mad because he had a whole set for a tabletop game and like half of them broke.
