Debate: Should game stores let people camp out for limited releases or just do lottery?

I was at Game Theory in Raleigh last weekend and saw a guy set up a tent outside for a new board game drop at 6 AM. On one hand, the dedication is real and first-come-first-served feels fair. On the other, it just rewards people with too much free time and kills the vibe. Which side do you land on?

Man, this is just like how people line up at 4 AM for Black Friday deals at my local Target. The tent guys always win, but the regular folks who just want a game end up getting squeezed out. First come first served feels fair on paper, but it really just rewards the people with zero other responsibilities or the ones who treat it like a hobby. Lotteries are annoying too though, since you can drive across town and still lose to some random person who barely cares.

Lotteries are FAIRER but tents show TRUE dedication.

Read an article saying lotteries only help people with flexible schedules too.
