Found a board game cafe in Cincinnati that has a copy of a game I thought was lost forever
Three years ago at a local convention, I played this weird tile-laying game about building a fantasy city. The owner of the copy moved away, and I never saw it again. I couldn't remember the name, just that it had purple dragon tiles. Last week, I was in Cincinnati for work and wandered into a place called The Rook. I was just looking for a coffee, but their back wall is all games. I'm not kidding, I spotted the box art immediately. It's called 'Dragon's Hoard' and it was just sitting there in their library. I played a round right then, and it was exactly as fiddly and great as I remembered. The cafe owner said someone donated their whole collection a few months back. Has anyone else ever randomly found a game they'd given up on ever seeing again?

Isn't it wild how lost stuff just circles back when you stop looking? Feels like a weird rule of the universe lol.

My old house key turned up in a jacket pocket three years after I lost it. It's like the universe holds onto things until you stop needing them. The moment you let go of that frantic search, it stops hiding from you. I swear lost items have a sixth sense for when you're finally at peace with them being gone. Then they just show up, like they got bored of watching you panic. It's one of those small, strange patterns that makes you wonder how much else works like that.

It's like @leo_fisher said, things come back when you stop looking. Makes you wonder if games have a way of finding the people who really loved them.
