Guy at my local shop told me I was teaching new players wrong, and he was right
Last month I ran a learn-to-play night at my FLGS here in Reno and a regular pulled me aside after and said my rules teach was too fast on scoring, that new folks were nodding along but had no clue how end game points worked. I started handing out a one page scoring cheat sheet and pausing after turn 3 to walk through a fake end game, and our return rate for second sessions jumped from like 4 people to 11. What's your go to trick for making sure new players actually get scoring before game one ends?
