My game group played nothing but party games last Saturday and it was the most fun I've had all year
We usually grind through heavy euros and someone always ends up grumpy by hour two, but last Saturday we just did Codenames and Just One for four hours straight at my buddy's place in Reno and everyone left laughing. Has anyone else had a group that plays better when you ditch the 3 hour brain burners?

I heard a guy on a podcast say his group rotates lighter stuff in every third week and it cut down on the fights a ton. In my experience the heavy games are great but they need a break, otherwise people get tired and snippy over dumb stuff. Four hours of Codenames sounds about right for a Saturday, your mileage may vary depending on the crowd.
