Remember when everyone was hyping up legacy games and I thought it was just a gimmick to sell more boxes?
My buddy finally got me to try Pandemic Legacy Season 1 last year, and finishing that campaign with the same group over 10 sessions was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Anyone else have a game type they were totally wrong about?

Consider how legacy games change the way you talk about a game with friends. We spent weeks between Clank Legacy sessions just guessing what permanent change the next envelope would bring, which built way more hype than any normal board game night. That slow burn of shared anticipation ended up being the real hook for me, not just the stickers and ripping up cards.

What about the way a legacy game can actually make you a better player? In Pandemic Legacy, our group had to learn to plan for the long term, not just the next turn, which changed how we approach every co-op game now. That lasting skill shift is a bonus I never saw coming.
