Spent 4 hours trying to figure out why my Catan board kept sliding apart, and the fix was a $2 trip to Ace Hardware
We play Catan every Friday at my place in Columbus and the hexes kept drifting every time someone bumped the table. I tried felt pads, masking tape, even rubber bands around the whole board, and nothing worked for more than one game. Finally I walked down to Ace Hardware and grabbed a roll of that rubbery shelf liner for two bucks, cut it to fit under the whole frame, and it locked everything in place. Four hours of my life gone for a two dollar fix, but game night finally stays put. Anyone else rig up some dumb household fix for a board that slides around?

Won't the liner stick to the table and rip the frame up?
