The guy who corrected my dice roll with a laser pointer at PAX

Ngl, I still think about this one. I was at PAX Unplugged in Philly last December, playing a semi competitive game of Terraforming Mars with three strangers. My turn comes up, I roll the dice for my asteroid event, and I declare a 6. This guy across the table, no joke, pulls out a tiny green laser pointer from his pocket and shines it on the cube, saying "that's clearly a 5, the pip is worn off." I squinted, and he was right, the paint had faded. We all paused for like ten seconds, then he put the laser away and said "happens all the time with older copies." The rest of the game he was totally normal, but I couldn't stop looking at his pocket. Has anyone else had a stranger bring out a tool just to win a point in a casual match?
