Vent: My game group tried a strict 90 minute timer versus our usual open ended sessions.

We played two weeks of Scythe with no clock, games dragged past three hours. Last Friday I set a phone timer for 90 minutes flat. The pressure forced faster choices, less overthinking. Game finished in 85 minutes and felt way more tense and fun. Anyone else use a hard stop to keep things moving?

Seriously, it's just a board game, not a life-or-death decision.

Ever been in a game where someone takes forever on their turn? @torres.grant, that's why people get upset. It kills the fun for everyone else waiting. A simple timer can fix the whole problem. Just set a phone for a minute per move. It keeps the game moving and stops the arguments before they start.

Ugh, I read an article about how slow turns ruin game nights.
