Always thought those fancy digital torque wrenches were a gimmick until my foreman made me use one on a 4-inch flange in Detroit.

The old clicker was off by almost 15 foot-pounds, which explained a persistent leak on a job from two summers ago. Anyone else have a tool they swore was useless that actually saved their bacon?

Ever notice how we fight new tools just because they're different? I did the same thing with a laser level, but man, it made hanging cabinets straight the first time a total breeze.

Wait, you hung cabinets without a laser level before, @emery_black? That sounds like a nightmare.

Oh man, I used to fight my stud finder until it saved my drywall.
