Hit 500 rivets in one shift today, didn't see that coming

Been at this trade about 4 years now, mostly patch work and tank liners. Today we had a big drum job down in Gary and I just kind of got in a rhythm, counted my bucket at the end and it was 500 exactly. Never broke 400 before, so that surprised me. Has anyone else had a day where the numbers just clicked like that, or am I just slow the rest of the time?

Tbh, that rhythm thing is real, once you lock in it almost feels like the gun's doing the work by itself. I've had maybe two or three days like that in my whole time riveting, and every time I'm left wondering why I can't just flip that switch on command. But honestly, I think those days are part luck and part muscle memory finally catching up, so don't beat yourself up about the other 499 shifts.
