How I got my 3G vertical welds to stop sagging after 2 years of fighting them
Been stuck on 3G up-hand for what feels like forever, and my root kept falling out on the back side. What finally clicked was dropping from 1/8 to a 3/32 rod and slowing way down on the sides instead of racing across the middle. I ran three practice coupons on scrap plate last Tuesday and every one held a clean root, no gouging. Now I'm wondering if the smaller rod trick is something you all use or if I'm just late to the party. What size rod do you run on your root in 3G?
