Old timer at the Port of Houston showed me a trick about setting up a rigging plan
I was working on a tank replacement job near the Port of Houston last spring, this guy Bill with 40 years in the trade walked up and said "you're overcomplicating your lift points." He drew out a simple three-leg chain fall setup on the concrete floor with chalk, and it saved us about 2 hours of rework. Have any of you had a veteran boilermaker drop a piece of advice that humbled you fast?

I heard an old rigger say the same thing about overthinking lifts is the fastest way to mess them up lol.

Isn't it funny how that applies to everything, not just work stuff?
