Pro tip: Check your hard hat suspension straps before climbing

Had a hard hat strap snap on me halfway up a 60 foot boiler in Gary, Indiana last Tuesday. Lucky I had one hand free to catch it. The suspension was original from 2018 and looked fine until it just gave out. Anybody else had this happen or is it just me?

Yeah I had a seatbelt snap on me changing a belt on a conveyor once, not quite the same but close enough. Took me forever to even trust the new one after that.

I had a seatbelt let go on me once in a old truck I was borrowing from a buddy. That thing snapped back so hard it left a red mark across my chest for a week. Every time I get in a car now I give the belt a good yank first like it owes me money.
