Safe work platform saved my back at a refinery outage in Baton Rouge
Last month I was on a turnaround and we had to grind out old tube stubs about 30 feet up. Normally I'd just use the existing scaffolding, but the crew before us left it in rough shape. I borrowed a proper man basket from another contractor and it made all the difference, no more leaning over the rail in a weird position. My lower back usually kills me after a week of that, but this time I felt fine. Any of you guys ever push back on a site super to get better access gear, or do you mostly just tough it out?
