Serious question, has anyone else seen the new safety rules at the Port of Seattle yard?
I was there last month and again this week, and the difference is huge. They've added a mandatory 15-minute 'tool check' meeting before any hot work can start, which is new. It's adding about an hour to our day across the crew, but I guess it's for a good reason after that incident in Tacoma. How are other yards handling this kind of extra step?
