Nah man I totally feel you on this one. It's like some guys have this need to prove they know more by calling people out instead of just having a normal conversation about it. Pressure testing is pretty straightforward stuff, there's really no reason to make someone feel small over their method unless they're about to blow something up. I've been there myself where an older guy just had to point out every little thing I was doing, and it always felt more about his ego than any actual safety concern. It gets old fast when people act like there's only one right way and everything else is wrong, especially in a trade where you pick up all kinds of different tricks over the years. Bottom line is you're probably doing fine, don't let one grumpy fitter get in your head about it.

Dude called you out over pressure testing? I mean, unless you were doing something genuinely dangerous, that seems like a lot of fuss over a pretty routine thing. Everyone's got their own way of doing it, and a lot of guys are just stuck in their old habits from 20 years ago. Probably just wanted to feel superior for a minute, you know how some old timers get. Wouldn't lose sleep over it, just check your method and keep moving.
