That $40 magnetic level holder saved me 20 minutes on a 3-story tank job

I grabbed one of those magnetic level holders at the supply house in Gary last Tuesday, figured I'd give it a shot. Stuck my 48" level on the shell plate and it held solid through all my layout marks, no wrestling with clamps or asking the fitter to hold it. I've always just balanced levels on chalk lines, but this thing let me walk the full seam without stopping. Anyone else using magnets to keep their level steady on round tanks, or is that just a gimmick for the new guys?
