Found a 25 cent trick that fixed my book club's argument problem

We spent 3 weeks fighting over whether to skip the author's preface in our latest read, so I grabbed a pack of sticky notes from the dollar store and had everyone write their page number preferences before the meeting. Has anyone else used a cheap fix like this to keep the peace in your group?

Oh man, sticky notes are an EMPHASIS on genius for that. I had a similar mess in my renovation group where people fought over paint colors for weeks - a single dollar store pack of swatches shut it all down fast. Sometimes the cheapest fix really does save the most hassle.
