Our book club just finished its 50th meeting and I'm shocked by the number
We started as just four people in my living room three years ago, and now we have a full email list of 20. The milestone made me realize we need to pick books that work for a bigger group. What's a good way to choose titles when you have so many different reading speeds and tastes?

Voting systems like what @theagibson mentioned seem to work well for bigger groups. I read about a book club that does themed months, letting people pick from a few options in that genre. That way you get a say but it's not a total free-for-all with twenty different tastes.

My friend's hiking group had the same issue when they got too big. They started a simple voting system where everyone suggests two books and the top three get read over the next few months. It keeps people invested because they had a say, and the slower readers can plan ahead for the next pick. It cut down on the arguments about genre pretty fast.

Yeah, that voting idea from @theagibson is smart. It gives everyone a little bit of control without letting one person's weird pick dominate the whole group. Makes it feel more like a team.
