That lady at the library book swap changed my mind about audiobooks counting as reading
She said her blind dad 'reads' three books a week through audio and it changed how I thought about it. I argued with her for ten minutes before I realized I was being a jerk. Has anyone else had a moment like that where you just had to admit you were wrong?

Glad you brought this up @ninas67 because I had a buddy who swore audiobooks weren't real reading until he got a job driving a delivery truck. He was bored out of his mind for 8 hours a day, so he finally gave in and listened to Dune on a long haul upstate. After he finished it, he called me going on about the spice melange and the sandworms and how he felt like he'd actually read the book. Now he says it's the only way he gets through anything, especially since he can crank through a whole book in a week while he's just doing his route.
