Found a gem at a garage sale last Saturday

I grabbed a beat-up copy of 'The Left Hand of Darkness' for 50 cents from some guy in Plano who was just clearing out his attic. It had a handwritten note from 1985 tucked inside talking about how the book changed someone's view on gender. Has anyone else found cool stuff hidden in used books?

That's such a crazy find, I love it when old books have stuff like that hidden inside. I once found a dried four-leaf clover pressed between pages of a Stephen King novel I got at Goodwill, felt like I got the book and a little piece of someone's life.

Wait, did your friend find anything cool in a book too? My buddy once found a love letter from 1972 tucked in a copy of Catcher in the Rye, wild stuff.
