Gave away my whole Stephen King shelf after a guy at the laundromat in Boise said one thing to me
I used to hoard every paperback I finished, mostly King and some old crime stuff, my shelf had 63 books on it and I never lent a single one out. Last Saturday this older guy at the laundromat in Boise saw me reading and said "books don't count for anything sitting still, they only work when they move." That hit me weird because I'd been treating my shelf like a trophy case instead of a swap pile. So I bagged up 40 of them and dropped them at the little free library on my corner, kept the ones I actually reread. Now I'm down to 23 and honestly looking for a trade, anyone got a beat up copy of something they loved and want to pass on?
