Hit 50 books swapped in one year and it caught me off guard

I started tracking my book swaps in a little notebook back in January just for fun. Last week I counted and realized I've passed along exactly 50 books through this thread and local coffee shop trades. That number surprised me because I didn't think I read that much, let alone shared that many. Most of them were thrillers and cozy mysteries, but a few were random non-fiction picks I picked up at library sales. The weirdest part is seeing which ones got traded again by other people. Has anyone else hit a swap milestone that felt bigger than you expected?

Does anybody else feel like when you start tracking something, it kinda snowballs on you? I've noticed that with my own little habits, once I start paying attention to how many books I'm passing along or how often I'm actually finishing a cup of coffee before it gets cold, the numbers just seem to pile up faster than I expected. It's like the act of counting it makes you more aware of it, so you start doing it more without even trying. The part about seeing your books get traded again is wild too, it's like watching a conversation move through the neighborhood without you being in it anymore.

Blew right past my mental tally last month when I realized I'd swapped 40 books without even trying. It's like my bookshelf became a revolving door and I'm just the surprised doorman. At this rate I'm gonna need a second notebook just to keep up with my own forgetfulness.
